Internships provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a field, determine your interest in a particular career, and create a network of contacts.

The goals for a T.R.U.E internship are simple! We want to help you gain experience that could lead to a job offer or help you realize that this is NOT the type of position you want to pursue, whether the outcome or the many outcomes can still be a successful and helpful experience.

By being accepted for a T.R.U.E internship, you can expect the following: 

1. Gain a basic understanding of everyday production

2. Be able to plan and complete projects. This includes the ability to identify and solve issues by applying professional standards. Our goal is for you to be able to write, edit, and revise effective messages, scripts, treatments, and pitches.

3. Be able to effectively deliver (in individual and group presentations) a proposal using appropriate research, organization, media, and public speaking skills.

4. Demonstrate professionalism in dress and demeanor.

5. Develop and present a professional final paper, resume, and/or portfolio.
